Error antes de comenzar la instalación de Drupal

Bueno, al comenzar la instalación de drupal me arroja este error.

Failed to connect to your PostgreSQL database server. PostgreSQL reports the following message: Connection failed. See log file for failure reason.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct database hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
Are you sure you typed the correct database name?

El sitio es un backup de un sitio que me pasaron, la base del sitio es en pgsql, con el sitio me vino un archivo de tipo pgsql.dump, no se bien si sera porque no ejecute el script ese, tampoco tengo bien en claro como ejecutarlo para que me tome el sitio tal cual era. Me pueden dar una mano ?
